Today, Sayina R. Riman is re-elected for an unprecedented second term as president of the Cocoa Association of Nigeria at the 30th annual general meeting held in Calabar, Cross River State.
Riman was elected to a second term with the promise of rebuilding the team and taking the entire Cocoa value chain to its zenith [both nationally and internationally] and also striving to engage producers to improve production and productivity of cocoa and achieving the lofty objective of being in the “million tons club” amongst committee of major cocoa producing countries.
Below is Sayina R. Riman gratitude and thank you quote culled from his Facebook page:
It usually is not easy to find personalized service coming from contemporaries. That is exactly what you all have done for me, your number one contemporary. My friends, my mates, my masters and my fellow farmers and cocoa family members I salute you all for a successful outing in Calabar. This singular camaraderie will not be forgotten in a hurry as I serve you for the next four years.
I wish to personally thank the Deputy Governor of Cross River State Prof. Ivara Esu for the warm reception accorded delegates at the 30th annual general meeting.
I wish to personal thank Mr. Chris Agara for his invaluable support, I am sincerely grateful.
I thank the Commissioner for Agriculture, Cross River State and the cocoa desk officers of the state for the successful hosting of the just concluded AGM.
May I use this opportunity to thank delegates from all over the country for conducting themselves in an enviable high esteem and having an election that is still the envy of all despite the bickering and the challenges? I also want to salute all contestants from the value chain who may not have been elected to join us in furthering the cause of the most labor intensive commodity in the world today.
For reelecting me your National President for another four year term, we shall rebuild the team to take the entire value chain to higher enviable heights both nationally and internationally. We shall also strive to engage our producers to improve production and productivity of cocoa and achieve the lofty objective of being in the “million tonnes club” amongst committee of major cocoa producing countries. Your criticism will strengthen us, your contributions will help us further the cause and your support will enable us achieve the goals of the entire value chain.
I WISH YOU ALL journey mercies to your various destinations. GOD BLESS.
